Since we have been in business for over 100 years, we have been asked to solve many glass related problems and furnish the solutions to a host of different customers. NASA and their space shuttle program, Northrop Grumman, Newport News builder of the only nuclear aircraft carrier in the world, many branches of the US Armed Forces, etc.

We have supplied:

• NASA - A few years ago we furnish to NASA a piece of glass that was dimensionally flat. They in turn used it as a mold to fabricate an antenna for the Space Shuttle.
• Northrop Grumman, Newport News - We have furnished observation sight glasses for the onboard jet propulsion test laboratories on the Navy's Nimitz class air craft carriers. When NG-NN needed the glass in the largest gantry crane in the western hemisphere replaced, they called Goodman Glass to do the work. Our qualified glazers worked on this 1050 ton capacity crane, replacing the glass on time, with out excessive down time for the equipment.
• US Armed Forces - Protection for terrorist is a real treat for the personnel on the many bases located in Eastern Virginia. For many years we have furnished and installed bullet resistant glass in Guard "shacks" to reduce or eliminate the destruction caused by a terrorist attack. The latest attacks on our armed service men and women have required the creation of new products. The next generation of safe buildings, are being glazed with Bomb Blast Windows and Doors. Goodman can furnish and install these cutting edge products.
• Interesting jobs - When a local hydroplane racer needed an enclosed capsule to protect himself at speeds in excess of 150 mph, he asked Goodman's to install a custom built Polycarbonate canopy.
